Target Audience

I conducted a focus group with my class, whose ages ranged from 16-24. In this focus group our group asked questions, and below are some of the results we found.

From our demographic research, we found out the basics of what/who our target audience is, such as age, gender etc.

From our psychographic research, we found out what things our target audience are into, such as their interests and hobbies. This enabled us to think more deeply about our music video, and target our niche audience more accurately.

Our location for the video will be in a studio, as here we can control the lighting, sounds, and overall make higher quality shots. Therefore, our test shots and location shoot was in a studio.








By doing this shoot, we learned what lighting was appropriate and worked best, and we also got an understanding into what our music video could look like. We also could figure out where we could improve in order to get the best shots and angles.

Guitar - Artist will use/play this prop in performance shots, there will also be extreme close ups of artists playing guitar.

Cigarette - Artist will smoke during some narrative shots, and there will be extreme close ups of this action.

These costumes ideas are influenced by current Indie artists, as they wear lots of vintage style clothes, due to their 'quirky' and individual style of music.
